Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical Oncology Floor

Job Summary:
Registered Nurse specializing in Medical Surgical Oncology on the Oncology / MS Tele floor in Neptune, New Jersey. This role involves evaluating patients, assisting physicians with patient care, and developing individualized care plans. The nurse will manage patient care, perform therapeutic nursing interventions, and document according to clinical standards to ensure patient-centric, evidence-based care delivery.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing); New Jersey State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license; BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association; two (2) years of experience in acute adult oncology, specializing in leukemia & lymphoma, inpatient setting; hard skills include IV insertion, phlebotomy, and basic nursing skills; required certifications include ACLS, BLS, and chemo certification.
• Preferred Qualifications: BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing); telemetry certification; additional preferred credentials include chemo certification with the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS).
• Additional Information: The RN will be responsible for initiating assessments based on patient needs, performing therapeutic interventions, managing care, and documenting care according to standards. Flexibility with weekends and holidays as needed; float rotation may be required.
