Operating Room Tech / Sterile Processing Tech

Job Summary:
Sterile Processing Technician in Billings, Montana. This role involves assembling, disinfecting, sterilizing, and storing medical instruments and equipment, ensuring adherence to sterilization standards. The position requires effective communication within a multidisciplinary team and the ability to operate sterilization machinery accurately. The shift is scheduled for daytime hours.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. Experience and understanding in the use of computers, as well as the ability to learn software relevant to Sterile Processing. Ability to successfully function in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment. Ability to work nights and/or weekends.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in hospital or clinic operating room.
• Additional Information: The position requires disassembling carts, following Universal Precautions for decontamination, operating sterilization equipment, managing inventory, and maintaining accurate records. Candidates may be required to work overtime, float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications, and be placed on-call during scheduled shifts.
