Registered Nurse / Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

Job Summary:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nurse opportunity in a healthcare organization located in Corpus Christi, Texas. This position involves providing specialized care to neonatal patients in a Level II NICU and newborn nursery setting. The role requires the ability to manage ventilator support, assist with neonatal procedures, and collaborate effectively with healthcare team members during night shifts.

Job Details:

• Location: Corpus Christi, Texas
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid CPR and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications; ventillator experience; experience with infants 23 to 40+ weeks gestation; experience with ventilator and oscillator management; clinical experience in NICU or neonatal settings; at least 1 year of relevant experience
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with CPN charting and intubations; familiarity with neonatal eye exams, feeding tube and IV insertions; effective team player and adaptable personality
• Additional Information: Unit comprises 32 beds with a healthcare staff of 63 members. Typical procedures include intubations, eye exams, feeding tube insertions, and IV insertions. Ventilator equipment such as oscillators and Vapotherm are used. Unit operates in accordance with NICU policies and guidelines, with a nurse team working 3 to 4 weekends per month. On-call responsibilities are not required.
