Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical With Telemetry

Job Summary:
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) registered nurse position in a healthcare facility located in Marshfield, Wisconsin. The role involves providing care in a 29-bed acute medical-surgical unit, including telemetry monitoring, patient assessments, medication administration, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. The position requires flexibility to work rotating shifts, including evenings, and to float to other adult medical-surgical units as needed.

Job Details:

• Certifications Required: BLS (American Heart Association)
• Education Requirements and Age Requirements: Must hold an active nursing license to submit application.
• Location Requirements: Candidates must reside within 80 miles of the facility.
• Years of Experience: Minimum 1 year of acute care nursing experience.
• Schedule: Rotating 12-hour evening shifts, with schedules including 1100-2330 shifts; minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Shift Notes: 12-hour evening shifts from 1100 to 2330; rotating weekends and holidays; block scheduling dependent on staffing; no self-scheduling.
• Additional Qualifications: Experience with telemetry monitoring; ability to read telemetry strips; trained in titrating titratable drips such as heparin, nitro, Bivalirudin, Cardizem, and insulin following prescribed nomograms.
• Responsibilities include patient assessments, vital signs, and care of patients with various diagnoses such as orthopedic trauma, vascular, urology, neuro-spine, and oncology.
• Staffing details include nursing assistants on duty during specified shifts, charge nurses who may take assignments, and RT support with CPAP, BIPAP, and high-flow oxygen therapies.
• The orientation process consists of 1 day of computer training and 1-2 days of precepted floor orientation.
• Floating to other adult medical-surgical units is required.
