Operating Room Tech / Sterile Processing Tech

Job Summary:
A Surgical Technician or Operating Room Technician position is available in GARDEN CITY, Kansas. This role involves working night shifts within a sterile processing unit, supporting various surgical procedures. The successful candidate will prepare and sterilize surgical instruments, assist with scope reprocessing, and ensure compliance with hospital standards. This role demands attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols to support patient care and operative efficiency.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 3x12 hour night shifts working Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, with weekend call required.
• Required Qualifications: BLS (AHA), Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) via HSPA; minimum of 2 years of experience in surgical sterilization or operating room support.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and scope reprocessing; working with equipment such as the da Vinci robot is advantageous.
• Additional Information: This role will involve duties such as decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and scope reprocessing. Orientation will be provided during the week of start date; clinicians must be in the state in advance of orientation. The hospital permits up to 4 shift cancellations per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for shorter assignments. The department operates within an acute care setting.
