Operating Room Tech / Certified Operating Room Tech

Job Summary:
The healthcare organization is seeking a Surgical Technician or Operating Room Technician in Arroyo Grande, California. This role involves supporting surgical procedures within the operating suite, ensuring the availability and proper handling of sterile equipment, and assisting surgical teams during operations. Job Details:

• Location: Arroyo Grande, California
• Specialty: Surgical Technician / Operating Room Technician (OR Tech)
• Shift Schedule: 10-hour day shifts; minimum of 40 hours per week
• Start Date: 08/10/2026
• Required Qualifications: Certification from IAHCSMM or CBSPD; minimum of 2 years of experience in surgical technology; valid license to submit; BLS certification; located within a feasible distance to the facility
• Preferred Qualifications: CST certification preferred for technicians; experience with a variety of surgical cases including laparoscopic, bariatrics, orthopedic, neuro, urology, gynecology, and ENT; previous sterile processing experience is highly valued
• Additional Information: The role involves assembly of surgical sets, decontamination duties, and working with Steris and Sterrad equipment. No scrub duties required for RNs, but scrub color and proper sterile attire provided. The facility operates a 24/7 pharmacy and respiratory therapy service, with a focus on acute care. The shift includes some nights and weekends, with call responsibilities requiring response within 30 minutes.
• Schedule: Variable shifts of 8 or 10 hours with some night and weekend call shifts.
