Registered Nurse / Intensive Care Unit

Job Summary:
The ICU (Intensive Care Unit) nurse position is located in Evanston, Illinois. This role involves providing specialized critical care to patients in a fast-paced hospital environment. The position requires the ability to handle complex medical cases, work rotating shifts, and adapt to different units as needed, supporting the organizations commitment to patient safety and quality care.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Illinois nursing license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification, minimum of 2 years of ICU experience with experience in Neuro and Stroke, EPIC Charting skills, passed EKG test with a score of 80% or higher, ability to float to other units and facilities, experience using EPIC Electronic Medical Record. Must submit an updated resume, skills checklist completed within 12 months, one reference completed within 12 months, Illinois license verification.

• Additional Information:
  • Orientation is scheduled on Mondays with 8 hours of paid orientation prior to start date.
  • Credential requirements include submission of updated resume, skills checklist, reference, and Illinois license verification.
  • The candidate must be flexible to float to other units and facilities, including Skokie, Highland Park, and Glenbrook.
  • EKG test results of 80% or higher are required at submission.
  • No on-call or weekend requirements.
  • Start date is 08/09/2026.
