Operating Room Tech / Certified Operating Room Tech

Job Summary:
The Surgical Technologist 1 position is located in Grapevine, Texas. This role involves supporting the surgical team during operative procedures by preparing instruments and equipment, maintaining a sterile environment, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. The position requires working in a fast-paced operating room setting, assisting with instrument handling, patient positioning, and surgical preparations.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certification in Basic Life Support (AHA) only, Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) grandfathered candidates accepted, minimum of 2 years of experience in trauma, general, robotics, ortho, or gynecology surgeries, in the United States, Texas, or states with similar licensure requirements
• Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of infection prevention and regulatory sterilization standards, understanding of human anatomy and surgical procedures, excellent communication skills
• Additional Information: The technician will assist with intra-operative tasks including instrument preparation and handling, maintaining sterile fields, and supporting surgical team needs. Responsibilities include disassembling instrumentation, sterilization procedures, and operating room cleaning following each case. Candidates must follow all infection control policies and safety guidelines, including those established by OSHA, AORN, and other regulatory bodies.
