Registered Nurse / Operating Room Open Heart

Job Summary:
Operating Room Open Heart Nurse position is based in Savannah, Georgia. This role involves providing specialized perioperative care for cardiac surgery patients in a busy surgical unit with a focus on complex cardiovascular procedures. The candidate will work within a highly skilled team, supporting a variety of advanced cardiac surgeries in a facility recognized for its quality and comprehensive services.

Job Details:

• Location: Savannah, Georgia
• Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certification in surgical technologist; at least 2 years of CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) experience; experience with procedures such as CABG, TAVR, AVR, MVR, thoracic surgery, AAA repair; no floating to other units required
• Preferred Qualifications: Advanced skills in cardiovascular surgery procedures
• Additional Information: The unit has 30 beds with 2 cardiovascular operating rooms and maintains a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1. Staffing includes 1 RN and 1 CST per room. Documentation is performed in Epic electronic medical record system. The unit adheres to strict dress code requiring blue scrubs, provided by oneself. Candidate must be prepared to support a fast-paced environment with complex cardiac cases, and a focus on patient safety and quality outcomes.
