Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical With Telemetry

Job Summary:
The healthcare organization is seeking a Medical Surgical with Telemetry nurse for a night shift position. This role involves providing direct patient care within a busy medical surgical unit that includes telemetry monitoring. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment supporting adult and geriatric patient populations, with responsibilities including managing a variety of clinical conditions and utilizing specialized skills.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shift, 3x12 hours, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with weekends as needed (likely every other weekend), minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Current licensure to practice as a registered nurse, ACLS & BLS certifications, Epic electronic health record system experience, and a minimum of 2 years of medical surgical and telemetry nursing experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior charge nurse experience, patient care experience with complex conditions, and familiarity with the specified charting system.
• Additional Information: The role involves floating to all medical surgical floors and potentially to rehabilitation units. The unit supports adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses such as heart failure, respiratory illnesses, arrhythmias, general surgery, orthopedics, and stroke. Candidates should be prepared to work in a tobacco and fragrance-free facility and may care for COVID-19 patients.
