Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical With Telemetry

Job Summary
The organization is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse specialized in Medical Surgical with Telemetry for a position located in Tusc Alabama. This role involves providing patient care on a trauma surgical unit that caters to acute care trauma, surgical, ortho, and urology patients, with a focus on collaboration within an interdisciplinary team. The candidate must be adaptable to float to other units and hospitals as required.

Job Details

• Location: Tusc Alabama
• Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Associate degree in nursing; American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification; Registered Nurse license for the state of Alabama or a Compact license (no temporary licenses accepted); 2 years of experience preferred but will consider 18 months of recent experience in the specialty working under the highest level of professional license
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in trauma, orthopedics, or urology patient care; familiarity with Meditech electronic medical record system
• Float: Float rotation may be required to other units or hospitals
• Additional Information: The unit values teamwork and provides individualized care to patients who are hospitalized for illness, surgery, or testing and observation.
