Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical Floor

Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical (Med Surg) at a facility located in Wilson, North Carolina. This position involves providing high-quality patient care on a Medical Surgical floor, with a focus on adult and geriatric populations. The role offers a 12-hour shift schedule, primarily during daytime hours, and is suitable for candidates with minimal experience or new graduates. It is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a dynamic hospital environment supporting surgical, trauma, and general medical needs.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour days shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Associates degree in Nursing (RN), Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, at least 2 years of nursing experience, available to start on 07/20/2026, located within 60 miles of the facility
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Meditech electronic health record system, prior Med Surg experience with common diagnoses such as surgical procedures, postoperative care, psych, and placement
• Float: Float rotation may be required as a second nurse to other units such as Telemetry or Emergency Department
• Additional Information: The unit has 22 beds per floor with patient ratios ranging from 6:1 to 7:1, supporting adult and geriatric populations. Telemetry equipment is in use, and the facility emphasizes a family-oriented care approach. Candidates must be able to work flexible scheduling to meet operational needs.
