Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical Floor

Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in Omaha, Nebraska. This role involves providing patient care on a MedSurg unit with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio, primarily working night shifts. The RN will be responsible for caring for MedSurg patients, including those with oncology diagnoses, and may perform float duties as needed within scope of practice.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Licensure to submit, BLS Certification, minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, and a valid drivers license.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with oncology MedSurg and familiarity with electronic charting system EPIC.
- Additional Information: Candidates must pass a skill-based open book exam on the day of orientation with a minimum score of 90%. Artificial nails are prohibited across all patient care departments. A radius rule of 50 miles applies, and candidates may not be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with the organization, including those affiliated with common health system entities.
- Note: The hospital has a cancellation policy allowing up to four shifts to be canceled within a 13-week assignment.
