Job Summary
The community of Derry, New Hampshire, is seeking a Certified Operating Room Technician to join a busy surgical unit within a healthcare facility. This position requires a healthcare professional with experience in robotic and spine procedures, offering guaranteed hours and opportunities to work on diverse surgical cases including orthopedics, gynecology, general, ENT, podiatry, and trauma surgeries. The role involves supporting a high-functioning surgical team while adhering to established clinical protocols.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Dayshift, 9-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: 2 years of hospital setting experience, active certifications, BLS certification, robotic and spine procedure experience, CNOR certification preferred, recent operating room experience
  • Preferred Qualifications: CNOR certification, scrub procedure experience
  • Responsibilities: Assist with robotic surgical procedures such as prostate and hysterectomy, orthopedic surgeries including shoulders, knees, and hips, trauma, gynecological, general, ENT, podiatry, and spine surgeries such as fusions, laminectomies, and anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF). Support surgical team during procedures, maintain sterile environment, and ensure adherence to safety standards.
  • Additional Information: The position is located in a surgical unit with four operating rooms and a team of five registered nurses and six surgical technologists, including four first assists. The unit performs a variety of procedures with emphasis on robotic surgeries, orthopedics, and spine cases. The unit is also certified by the Joint Commission in knee and hip replacements, and uses Meditech electronic medical records. Dress code requires hospital-provided grey scrubs, which are laundered on-site. The schedule includes every 5-6 weekends and one on-call night per week.
