Registered Nurse / Labor And Delivery Department

Job Summary:
A Labor and Delivery (L & D) Registered Nurse (RN) position is available at a healthcare facility located in Wichita, Kansas. This role involves providing specialized care in a busy obstetrics unit, supporting high-risk labor and delivery patients, and collaborating with a team of experienced professionals. Candidates will be responsible for delivering compassionate, patient-centered care in a dynamic environment.

Job Details:

• Location: 550 N Hillside St, Wichita, KS 67214
• Shift Time: Days (7:00 AM 7:00 PM)
• Shift Hours: 12 hours per shift
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
• Start Date: 08/25/2026
• Responsibilities include managing labor, delivery, and postpartum care; participating in procedures such as C-sections and inductions; and utilizing equipment like Alaris pumps, PCA pumps, and telemeters.
• Required Qualifications: Minimum 1-year current acute care hospital L & D RN experience; Certifications include BLS, ACLS, NRP, and EFM certification or AWHONN; Education and licensure appropriate for a nursing professional.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with circulating C-sections and high-risk labor and delivery units; familiarity with high-risk L & D procedures.
• Typical procedures performed include C-sections, inductions, amniotomy (AROM), intrauterine pressure catheter (IUPC), and Doppler assessments.
• Additional Information: This unit offers a team nursing approach, self-scheduling options, and a supportive leadership team. Many staff members have 20-40 years of experience, and a new OB Hospitalist program began in April, providing attending support to the residency program and triage nurses.
