Registered Nurse / Emergency Room

Job Summary:
Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) position in Bridgton, Maine. This role involves providing critical care in a Level III trauma emergency department, managing a diverse patient population with a focus on acute emergencies, trauma, stroke, and cardiac cases. The assignment offers a dynamic environment where flexibility and expertise in emergency nursing are essential.

Job Details:

• Location: 10 HOSPITAL DRIVE, Bridgton, ME 04009
• Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, with a guaranteed minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, Certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC). Minimum of 2+ years of emergency or critical care experience. Flexibility to work days, mids, and nights, as schedule varies.
• Preferred Qualifications: Critical Access hospital experience, National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
• Additional Information: The unit manages acutely ill adult and elderly patients requiring rapid stabilization and transfer. Proficiency in dysrhythmia management, blood product administration, starting IVs, procedural sedation, and trauma protocols is required. The environment includes advanced equipment such as Level I infuser and telestroke capabilities.
