Registered Nurse / Progressive Care Unit

Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse position in Lancaster, Ohio. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care using the nursing process. The Nurse will provide education to patients and their families, ensure documentation is accurate and thorough, administer medications and treatments, and communicate effectively with physicians and team members. The position requires a commitment to delivering compassionate, high-quality care within a fast-paced clinical environment.

Job Details:

  • Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license in the State of Ohio; completion of an accredited nursing program (Diploma in Nursing, Associate degree in Nursing, or Bachelors degree in Nursing); CPR certification.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Previous Registered Nursing experience preferred.
  • Additional Information: This role involves physical activities including frequent patient handling activities. Candidates must demonstrate strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to manage urgent situations calmly and efficiently. The position requires intact cognitive function related to attention, memory, perception, and thought, as well as keen observation and reporting skills. Position is located at 401 North Ewing Street, Lancaster, Ohio, 43130.
