Registered Nurse / Operating Room

Job Summary:
Operating Room Nurse (OR) in Ellsworth, Maine. This position involves circulating in a busy surgical environment with approximately 25 cases per day, including general, urology, ENT, OB-GYN, orthopedics, and endoscopic procedures. The role requires a proactive RN with strong case experience and familiarity with Cerner or EPIC electronic medical records.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shifts, Monday through Friday, 0700-1730, with weekend rotations and call requirements (approximately 6-7 shifts per month). Shifts are 10 hours, with a scheduled response time of 20 minutes.
• Required Qualifications: RN licensure with BLS and ACLS certifications, proficiency with Cerner or EPIC electronic medical records, minimum of 0 years of experience (preferably 3-5 years in similar OR settings).
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with adult and pediatric case types, circulating experience, and familiarity with total joints, podiatry, or endoscopy is a plus.
• Additional Information: Support staff includes supervisor, CRNAs, anesthesiologist, anesthesia tech, resource nurses, OR educator, RT, hospitalist, and phlebotomy. Orientation is one week with a call buddy, and surgical scrubs are provided. Parking is free.
