Job Summary:
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nursing position is located in Pleasanton, California. This role involves providing expert clinical care to patients within the ICU setting, practicing in accordance with evidence-based standards, regulatory requirements, and hospital policies. The ICU Nurse is responsible for patient assessment, developing and implementing care plans, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This position focuses on delivering compassionate, family-centered care while maintaining professional growth and development.
Job Details:
- Shift: Days, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Current California Registered Nurse (CA-RN) license, American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university preferred, 0 years of experience required, work location in Pleasanton, California
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous ICU experience is beneficial but not required
- Additional Information: The role emphasizes rapid response capabilities, emergency protocol activation, patient and family education, team collaboration, and ongoing professional development in current nursing practices. The provider will utilize available clinical technology for documentation, communication, and treatment planning. Active engagement in unit programs, meetings, and professional development activities is encouraged.
