Job Summary:
The medical surgical floor nursing position is located in Alexandria, Louisiana. This role involves providing high-quality patient care through routine and complex nursing practices. The nurse will demonstrate independence in clinical settings while adhering to established protocols and practices, supporting patient recovery and well-being in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Day shift from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with a guaranteed 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred; 0 years of experience; BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required; RN License in the state of Louisiana or a compact license.
- Preferred Qualifications: One year of experience in a related nursing specialty is preferred.
- Responsibilities: Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients. Administer medications and treatments following the appropriate protocol, monitor for side effects and effectiveness, document patient history and care provided, and offer patient and family education.
- Additional Information: The position guarantees 36 hours per week; overtime is not billable until after 48 hours per week.
