Registered Nurse / Interventional Radiology

Job Summary:
Interventional Radiology Nurse in Philadelphia, PA. This position involves providing specialized nursing care within the interventional radiology department, supporting a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in a fast-paced clinical environment. The role requires an experienced nurse capable of managing moderate sedation, responding swiftly to patient needs, and working collaboratively with the healthcare team.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Day shifts, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of Interventional Radiology (IR) nursing experience, previous travel experience, and certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). Candidates must have experience administering and monitoring moderate sedation, be comfortable working in a high-volume procedural environment, and demonstrate flexibility in adapting to changing patient and department needs.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous Emergency Department (ED) and/or Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience is strongly preferred.
• Additional Information: The department has 6 procedure rooms and handles approximately 25-35 patients daily, performing procedures such as catheter placements, arterial procedures, biopsies, paracentesis, thoracentesis, pulmonary embolism (PE) lysis, neuro interventional procedures, and epidural injections. The work environment maintains a primary and secondary on-call RN rotation. The unit features 11 recovery beds and emphasizes patient safety during complex procedures.
