Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical Neurology Floor

Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Neurosciences located in Springfield, MA. This role involves providing specialized patient care within a 37-bed Neurosciences unit that manages complex neurological and neurosurgical conditions. The RN will support a team committed to patient-centered excellence, safety, and nursing autonomy.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Day shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, minimum of 1 year of nursing experience with a focus in neuroscience preferred, required certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association, and NIH Stroke Scale certification required annually. Completion of five stroke-based continuing education units annually.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous neuroscience experience highly preferred.
• Float: Float rotation may be required to support hospital needs of lesser or similar acuity areas.
• Additional Information: The unit provides comprehensive care for conditions such as stroke, epilepsy, spinal cord injury, infections, tumors, and neuro trauma. The RN will work in a fast-paced environment, supporting complex neurological cases with a patient-centered approach.
