Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse in Iowa. This position involves providing care in a Level 2 maternal/neonatal center with a focus on antepartum, postpartum, newborn, OB/GYN, and NICU patient populations. The role requires dedication to excellent patient care during night shifts, with responsibilities centered around labor and delivery services.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Current Iowa or compact/multistate license; 24 months of recent labor and delivery experience; EPIC electronic medical record experience; NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification; AHA/American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; BLS (Basic Life Support); STABLE certification; experience with medication administration including glucose, magnesium, Pitocin, and insulin.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Nursery/Mother-Baby experience; postpartum experience; NICU experience; travel experience within the last 15 months; skills specific to labor and delivery discipline.
  • Certifications: BLS, NRP, FHM, STABLE, ACLS (AHA).
  • Additional Information: The role involves working in a busy Level 2 maternal and neonatal center with specific ratios for labor, postpartum, and NICU units. Orientation sessions are scheduled for 8/24, 8/31, 9/8, and 9/14. Candidates must submit a professional reference or performance evaluation from within the last 24 months and hold a valid drivers license.
