Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical Floor

Job Summary
A Medical Surgical Nurse is needed for a healthcare facility in Hermiston, Oregon. This position involves providing direct nursing care to adult patients in a medical-surgical setting during night shifts. The role includes patient assessment, medication administration, vital sign monitoring, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to promote optimal patient outcomes. The nurse will respond quickly to patient condition changes and perform general nursing duties across departments as needed.

Job Details

• Position: Medical Surgical Floor Nurse
• Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts
• Schedule: 36 hours per week
• Start Date: 08/24/2026
• Required Qualifications:
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Oregon
  • Evidence of continuing education appropriate for skill level and area of practice
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
  • Previous Medical-Surgical nursing experience
  • Certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (CMSRN)
  • CRASE training (if assignment exceeds six months)
• Additional Information:
  • The role involves recognizing patient confidentiality rights, demonstrating empathy, and effective communication with diverse populations.
  • Nurses may be floated to other departments where qualified.
  • Participation in required educational programs for DNV accreditation is expected.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
