Registered Nurse / Intermediate Care Unit

Job Summary
Intermediate Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in Springfield, Illinois. The role involves providing patient care on a fast-paced IMCU / Stepdown / PCU unit with a focus on telemetry, neurology, and cardiovascular patients. The incumbent will work 3 days per week, 12-hour day shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week, and be expected to float within scope and work every other weekend.

Job Details

• Schedule: 3x12 Days (0645-1915), minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: 1 year of clinical experience in a relevant setting, active Illinois license, BLS and NIHSS certifications are required; ACLS preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Telemetry, Neuro Stepdown, and PCU/IMC/Stepdown experience; proficiency in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and various vascular and neurological procedures.
• Open to accommodating block schedule: Discussion with the manager is encouraged.
• Float: Float within scope to meet facility needs.
• Additional Information: The unit is a Level I trauma center with 38 beds, providing care for diverse adult diagnoses, including cardiac, neurological, orthopedic, and respiratory patients. Experience with ventilator management, invasive lines, and complex medication protocols is essential. Orientation includes 24 hours of virtual training.
