Job Summary:
Telemetry Nurse in Belleville, Illinois. This position involves providing specialized care in telemetry units for adult patients requiring cardiac monitoring and high-risk cardiovascular management. The role includes managing post-operative open-heart patients, sheath pulls, and tracheostomies within a dynamic acute care hospital setting.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid Illinois license or authorization to practice in Illinois, at least 2 years of high-risk telemetry experience, ACLS and BLS certifications, and skills in cardiac drip management, sheath pulls, central line care, and telemetry interpretation.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with post-op open heart, sheaths, and tracheostomy management is highly desirable.
- Float: All clinicians will float within scope to meet unit needs.
- Additional Information: Care involves high-risk cardiology post-op patients, including those on cardiac drips, sheath pulls, and central lines. The unit supports interdisciplinary services such as respiratory, pharmacy, and social services. Orientation of 24 hours is provided prior to start. Staffing ratios are approximately 1:5-6 on nights, with weekend coverage required every other week. RTO requests are limited to a maximum of 7 days, with final approval required. Certifications required by the orientation deadline include ACLS and BLS. Labs must be completed within 48-72 hours of signing. All travelers will float within their service line.
