Job Summary
Emergency Room Nurse in Simi Valley, California. This position involves delivering coordinated nursing care for patients in a fast-paced ER setting, following established standards of care and the nursing process. The role includes supervising and directing various levels of nursing staff, coordinating care with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring a safe and healing environment for patients.

Job Details

• Shift Time: Days
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Bachelor`s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Emergency Room experience preferred; Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required; Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor required; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required; Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM) or Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) required; NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required; minimum 0 years of experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Cerner and EPIC electronic medical record systems.
• Additional Information: The role involves collecting and analyzing patient health data, developing and implementing care plans, coordinating care delivery, and participating in discharge planning. It also includes delegating duties appropriately and providing health education to patients and their families.
