Registered Nurse / Emergency Room

Job Summary:
The Emergency Room (ER) Nurse is a registered nursing professional located in Altoona, Pennsylvania. This role involves delivering high-quality patient care within the emergency department setting. The ER Nurse will be responsible for managing a wide range of urgent and emergent cases, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes, and providing compassionate support to patients and their families.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Rotating shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: RN license, BSN preferred; 2 years of ER experience; Pennsylvania State-specific licenses including PA Registered Nurse (RN), Basic Life Support (BLS), PA Act 31, PA Act 33, PA Act 34, PA Act 73
• Preferred Qualifications: Not specified
• Float: Float rotation may be required
• Additional Information: The ER Nurse will be responsible for applying evidence-based practices, performing patient assessments, documenting care comprehensively, and maintaining effective communication with patients, families, and team members. The role emphasizes adaptability, clinical proficiency, and a patient-centered approach throughout an eight-week contract starting August 10, 2026.
