Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical With Telemetry

Job Summary:
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS/Tele) registered nurse position located in Newburgh, Indiana. This role involves providing care to complex medical-surgical and telemetry patients, including post-cardiac caths, CVA/TIA, and oncology cases. The position offers a consistent 12-hour daytime shift with a focus on neuro and cardiac assessments in a welcoming and proactive unit environment.

Job Details:

• Position: Neuro Cardiac Unit MS/Tele RN - Days
• Start Date: 08/24/2026
• Shift: 12-hour Days, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM
• Schedule: No specified schedule, minimum of 36 hours per week guaranteed
• Location: Newburgh, Indiana
• Required Qualifications: Current active compact license, AHA BLS, NIHSS certification, two years of strong Tele/Med/Surg experience including trauma level II, at least one travel assignment, recent EPIC charting experience (requires checkoff class), and minimum of 2 years of experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: NG/PEG tubes, PIV insertion, Tikosyn administration, chest tubes.
• Float: Float to within skillset; cross-campus float possible with 2-hour notice, within same campus for mid-shift.
• On Call/Call Back: Not required
• Weekend/Holiday: Three weekends out of every six weeks, alternating holiday requirements
• Interview Days: Monday through Friday, MSP interview type
• Patient Population: Complex Med/Surg/Tele patients, including post-cardiac caths, CVA/TIA, ICD, complex abdominal surgeries, oncology, and neurosurgical cases.
• Unit Details: 32 beds with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-5 on days.
• Additional Information: Welcoming staff environment with proactive charge nurses and helpful clerical support. May involve precepting students and new hires. No COVID-19 vaccination requirement at this time but subject to change.
