Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical With Telemetry

Job Summary:
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) position in Des Moines, Iowa. This role involves providing care for patients requiring medical-surgical and telemetry services. The position is scheduled to start on August 31, 2026, with a rotating shift. The role requires a dedicated health care professional with strong telemetry experience and relevant certifications.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Rotating shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: 24 months of current Med Surg/Medical Surgical - Telemetry, or Tele/Telemetry, IMCU, stepdown, or PCU experience; EPIC electronic medical records experience; Heparin administration experience; Iowa state license or compact/multistate license; BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or ARC; previous travel experience required; skills checklist specific to Med Surg/Telemetry, IMCU, stepdown, or PCU; drivers license document; performance evaluation/reference from within 24 months
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with specific disciplines listed; high proficiency in patient care and telemetry monitoring
• Additional Information: Candidate must be available to work on at least 1-2 of the upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day). Orientation dates are scheduled for 8/31 and 9/8. The position involves caring for patients with a patient ratio of 3:5, or at most 2:7. The unit has 16 beds, and scrubs are navy in color. The minimum experience requirement is 0 years, but 24 months of relevant experience is strongly preferred.
