Registered Nurse / Psychiatric Unit

Job Summary:
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in Grand Rapids, MI. This position involves providing comprehensive mental health and psychiatric care within a specialized inpatient unit. The role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered, compassionate care tailored to individuals` behavioral health needs.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid Michigan State Licenses, Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), at least 2 years of behavioral health experience, pediatric experience
• Preferred Qualifications: Additional certifications or experience in psychiatric or pediatric settings considered an asset
• Float: Float rotation may be required
• Additional Information: The RN may function as a charge nurse, delegate staff assignments, and promote staff development. Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, developing and reassessing care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, and educating patients and families on discharge and after-care planning. The role emphasizes a recovery-focused, person-centered approach, maintaining the organization`s mission and values, and demonstrating competency in required programmatic training.
