Registered Nurse / Operating Room Open Heart

Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse specializing in Open Heart procedures is needed in Portland, Oregon. This position involves floating between units as needed, with a focus on cardiac surgery cases. The role requires adherence to unit protocols and the ability to work in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Job Details:

• Location: Portland, Oregon
• Start Date: 08/31/2026
• Shift Hours: 12 hours per day
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
• Experience: 2 years of clinical experience required, including prior charge experience and a minimum of 1 year in a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) setting
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required
• Schedule: Days shift, minimum of 36 hours per week, with weekend requirements (one weekend per month) and on-call responsibilities as per unit needs
• Required Qualifications: Valid license or license pending, 2 years of experience, CVOR procedural experience, experience with EPIC charting system, references covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years
• Preferred Qualifications: Cardiac scrub experience, experience with OR/Cath Lab procedures, and proficiency with specific cardiac equipment
• Additional Information: Must have a vehicle for this assignment. Travelers may be required to float between units and nearby facilities based on skill set needs. Candidates should be flexible to work on holidays as specified. No fee parking is available.
• Submittal Requirements: Must include responses regarding prior employment at a healthcare provider, floating experience, and completion of required modules.
