Registered Nurse / Labor And Delivery Department

Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse in Winchester, Tennessee. This role involves providing specialized nursing care for women during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods in a Level 1 Obstetrics Department. The position requires a commitment to patient safety and high-quality care, supporting a diverse patient population of adults and newborns.

Job Details:

• Shift: Nights, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certification/licensure required to work as an RN in Tennessee, a minimum of 2+ years of experience as a labor nurse, and certifications including AWHONN, ACLS, and BLS.
• Preferred Qualifications: Ability to manage high-risk patients, such as pre-eclampsia and insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (IDDM).
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Must have experience managing high acuity patients within the obstetrics setting. The facility features a dedicated labor and delivery department with four labor beds, two triage rooms, and seven postpartum rooms, supporting a patient ratio of 1:1 or 1:2 during labor and 1:6 postpartum.
