Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical With Telemetry

Job Summary:
The Medical Surgical with Telemetry nurse position is based in a healthcare facility in Marshalltown, Iowa. This role involves providing patient care for telemetry, post-operative surgical, orthopedic, and general surgical patients. The position emphasizes clinical proficiency in telemetry reading and measuring, with a focus on delivering high-quality care across a variety of patient types.

Job Details:

• Shift: Nights, 12 hours per shift
• Schedule: Billable hours range from 36 to 40 hours per week; OT billable after 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: 24 months of current medical-surgical and/or telemetry experience; active Iowa license or multistate license; BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or ARC/Red Cross; experience with insulin, Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone drips; proficiency in EPIC charting; familiarity with telemetry reading and measurement; ability to work in a hospital or medical center setting
• Preferred Qualifications: Telemetry experience; EPIC charting experience; orthopedic/orthopedic, general surgery care experience; telemetry reading and measuring strips experience
• Additional Information:
  • Orientation date set for 8/24/2026
  • On-call not required
  • Weekend schedule every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation if scheduled
  • Must have 24 months minimum of current nursing experience in medical-surgical/telemetry
  • Skills checklist must be discipline-specific (Medical Surgical or Telemetry)
  • Documentation required: current professional references, drivers license, and active American Heart Association or ARC/Red Cross certifications in BLS and ACLS
