Registered Nurse / Operating Room (First Assistant)

Job Summary:
Operating Room First Assistant in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. This position involves supporting surgical teams in a busy operating environment, ensuring patient safety and procedural efficacy. The role requires a certified perioperative nurse with recent OR experience, primarily working daytime shifts.
Job Details:
- Shift: Days
- Schedule: 10 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Start Date: 08/31/2026
- Required Qualifications:
- Two years of current operating room experience
- Massachusetts Registered Nurse license (must be uploaded with profile)
- Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) certification (active/current)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) (active/current)
- Meditech Expanse experience highly preferred
- Reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- Must have own vehicle
- All schedules requested at submission; schedule changes after offer are not approved
- Must include Massachusetts Temporary Nursing Service Agency License (Nursing Pool) in profile upload
- Must include permanent address in profile
- Must have 2 years current experience
- Must be available to interview on two specific dates/times, added to the profile
- Voicemail set up on phone; travelers without voicemail will be redirected
- No more than 5 days of return to off (RTO) requested, noted during submission
- All RTO requests must be included in profile
- Any/all RTO requests must be included in the profile; requests after offer may lead to rescinding
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Operating Room and First Assist skills (pertinent to position)
- Additional Information:
- Unit size: 8 beds
- Dress code: Facility-provided scrubs
- Call: 4/hour; call-back, holiday, and overtime multipliers at 1.25
- Certification requirements: CNOR, BLS from AHA (active/current)
- On call: by rotation
- Weekend/Holiday coverage as needed (TBD)
