Job Description

Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Labor and Delivery within the department located in Brighton, Colorado. This role involves performing independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards. The nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care, provide health education and counseling, and support therapy and treatment plans to promote patient well-being. The position offers a night shift schedule with a minimum commitment of 36 hours per week.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shift; 12-hour shifts; minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Registered Nursing (RN) license in the state of practice, graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with an ASN degree required, Bachelors degree in Nursing preferred, current BLS certification from the American Heart Association, and at least 2 years of relevant experience
  • Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in Labor and Delivery (L&D) department, certification relevant to the unit or service, ACLS, NRP, or PALS as appropriate for the department (if applicable)
  • Additional Information: Performs independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions, assesses health status, educates and counsels patients, executes therapy and treatment plans, may float to other departments within competency, and may be required to be placed on-call during scheduled shifts. Performance of duties includes documentation, supervision, delegation, and consulting as needed.
