Registered Nurse / Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular

Job Summary:
The healthcare professional specializing in Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular at the Glenview location will provide expert patient care within a cardiovascular-focused ICU environment. This role involves managing complex cardiac cases, interpreting diagnostic tests, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes during night shifts.

Job Details:

• Shift Schedule: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Active Illinois licensure, CPR, ACLS, NIHSS certification; at least 3 years of experience in cardiovascular ICU settings; ability to pass an EKG test with a score of 80% or above
• Preferred Qualifications: Charge nurse experience is preferred
• Additional Information: The ICU staff may be required to float to Glenbrook Medical Intensive Care Unit, Evanston Intensive Care Unit, or Highland Park Intensive Care Unit if needed. The candidate must have epic electronic medical record experience. Skill requirements include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, multi-system organ failure, postoperative cardiac care, use of advanced monitoring devices such as intra-aortic balloon pumps and LVADs, ventilator management, and administration of various IV medications. Respiratory management and infection prevention protocols are essential components of patient care on this unit.
