Registered Nurse / Emergency Room

Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse located in Franklin, Indiana. This position involves providing high-quality patient care in a busy ED with approximately 60 patients per day. The role requires flexibility, strong clinical skills, and adherence to department protocols, including working night shifts and managing a diverse patient population from pediatrics to geriatrics.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS); 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience; valid license to practice.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with IV management, EKG rhythm interpretation, and trauma care.
• Float: Possibility; most float assignments to be to a sitter.
• Additional Information: The department has 26 beds including trauma bays and treatment areas. It operates 24/7 with in-house security and utilizes Cerner electronic medical records. The team uses a variety of respiratory therapy equipment and operates with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4. The unit does not allow block scheduling and uses a self-scheduling system balanced by management. Candidates must demonstrate punctuality and commitment to fulfilling the contract.
