Operating Room Tech / Operating Room Open Heart

Job Summary:
Operating Room Open Heart technologist in a healthcare setting responsible for assisting with complex surgical procedures, including neuro, orthopedic, and cardiac surgeries. This role involves performing problem analysis and resolution, ensuring adherence to surgical protocols, and maintaining proficiency in robotic surgery and neurosurgery. The position requires strong technical skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, clinical environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Minimum of three years experience as a scrub person in a hospital setting; certification as a scrub technician preferred; BLS for Healthcare Providers required; licensure through approved Operating Room Technician training or demonstrated skills via on-the-job training; at least a high school education preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Approved program for Operating Room Technicians or demonstrated technical skills through on-the-job training; scrub tech certification preferred.
• Skills: Neurosurgery proficiency, robotic surgery proficiency, scrub person experience, cardiac surgery proficiency, orthopedic surgery proficiency.
• Additional Information: On-call responsibilities include 12-hour weekend and 20-hour weekday shifts during a four-week period, with a 30-minute response time. Weekend call duties will be in addition to scheduled weekend shifts, which occur every other weekend.
