Registered Nurse / Operating Room Open Heart

Job Summary:
Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is seeking qualified healthcare professionals for 13 to 26-week contracts. The position involves working five days per week with eight-hour daytime shifts. Candidates will perform open heart surgery cases, including general cases when no cardiovascular operations are scheduled, and must be proficient with the electronic health record system and prior travel experience. There may be on-site float responsibilities within the skill set or to sites within 40 miles as needed.

Job Details:

• Schedule: M-F, 8-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: CVOR experience (minimum 2 years), general surgical case experience, EPIC proficiency, prior travel experience, ability to float within skill set or to sites within 40 miles if needed.
• Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
• Float: Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The role involves providing perioperative care in an open heart surgery setting, with responsibilities including assisting in cardiovascular and general cases, adhering to hospital protocols and SOPs, and ensuring patient safety throughout procedures. Flexibility to work call hours, holiday coverage, and on-site float assignments as needed.
