Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical With Telemetry

Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical with Telemetry at a healthcare facility in St. Louis, Missouri. This position involves providing direct patient care across adult medical-surgical and telemetry units, utilizing standard nursing practices within established guidelines. The assignment is for a 13-week period with the potential for extension.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 1900-0700, 48 hours guaranteed per week.
• Required Qualifications: Current RN license (eligible for licensure in Missouri or licensed in Missouri), BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association, 2+ years of experience in Medical Surgical Telemetry, and ability to float as needed to a similar or lower acuity unit.
• Preferred Certifications: None specified.
• Additional Information: Performs direct patient care activities for all age groups, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Coordinates patient care with ancillary departments to optimize outcomes. Must be a team player, possess strong communication skills, and demonstrate a commitment to positive patient outcomes. Night orientation begins on day shift, and the traveler must be available for the entire orientation week. The unit features 4-6 patient ratios with standard nursing equipment and EPIC electronic medical records. Candidates should expect to work every other weekend and at least one major winter holiday. Up to 5 days off within each 13-week period can be automatically approved with prior confirmation.
