Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse in Glendale, California. This role involves providing specialized nursing care in a busy Labor and Delivery department, supporting high-risk pregnancies, and assisting with deliveries in a hospital setting. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on maternal and neonatal health.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, every other weekend, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid license to practice as a registered nurse, BLS certification, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Advanced Womens Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AFM) certification, ACLS certification, at least 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery, and at least 2 years of experience delivering neonates.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with high-risk pregnancies, NICU background for feeder/grower roles, experience with electronic fetal monitoring systems.
  • Float: PP rotation may be required unless NICU experience is present for feeder/grower or Labor and Delivery to postpartum float.
  • Additional Information: The department manages deliveries down to 23 weeks, with a focus on high-risk cases such as hypertension and antepartum complications. Staff work with obstetricians and perinatology support; unit is in need of experienced Labor and Delivery nurses.
