Registered Nurse / Intensive Care Unit

Job Summary:
The organization is seeking an experienced Critical Care Nurse specialized in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for a night shift position located in Evanston, Illinois. This role involves providing specialized patient care in a high-acuity environment with potential float to various units including Emergency Department, Intensive Care Units, and other medical-surgical units. The position starts on August 16, 2026, and offers a dynamic clinical setting that values strong critical care skills and adaptability.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights, 7:00 PM 7:00 AM, 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Active Illinois nursing license, CPR certification, ACLS certification, NIHSS certification, minimum of 2 years ICU, cardiac, or neuro experience, epic experience, and the ability to submit a passing EKG test, a recent reference, a skills checklist, and all active certifications.
• Preferred Qualifications: Strong critical care skills and experience in high-acuity environments.
• Float: Float rotation may be required to other units such as Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit, or other medical-surgical units including facilities in Highland Park, Glenbrook, and Skokie.
• Additional Information: Orientation begins on Monday with 16 hours scheduled8 hours bilable and 8 hours non-billable. Credentials are due by Thursday before the start date. The position requires at least two years of ICU experience, with a focus on cardiac and neuro patient care.
