Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical Floor

Job Summary:
The facility is seeking qualified registered nurses (RN) or licensed vocational nurses (LVN) for a Medical Surgical Floor in Kula, Hawaii. The position requires flexible availability to work night shifts and to float between multiple units, including Long-Term Care (LTC)/Skilled Nursing, Intermediate Care Facility (ICF)/Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) Unit, and Critical Access Hospital (CAH) units. This role involves providing patient care in a dynamic environment with a focus on delivering quality support across different units within the healthcare organization.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications:
  • 1-year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Registered Nurse License (in the state where care is provided)
  • Basic Life Support certification
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in nursing or related field
• Additional Information:
  • The role involves frequent float requirement between Maui Memorial Campus and Kihei facility, with temporary closure of Kula Hospital due to storm damage
  • Open availability for day, evening, and night shifts is essential and non-negotiable
  • Must have active license and certifications in ACLS
