Registered Nurse / Operating Room Open Heart

Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Open Heart Nursing position located in Palo Alto, California. This role involves providing specialized perioperative care to patients undergoing open heart procedures within a high-acuity environment. The Clinical Nurse (CN) will work collaboratively with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes through preoperative preparation, intraoperative support, and postoperative recovery.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 8-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: California Registered Nurse (RN) license; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university preferred; current American Heart Association Certification for Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers; ability to communicate effectively in English; 0 years of experience minimum.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with operating room procedures, especially open heart surgery; additional certifications related to perioperative or cardiac nursing are a plus.
• Additional Information: The Clinical Nurse will assist in maintaining a sterile environment, support surgical protocols, and monitor patient status closely during perioperative phases. The role emphasizes team collaboration, adherence to safety standards, and continuous quality improvement.
