Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical With Telemetry

Job Summary:
The Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS Tele) nursing position is based in Waterloo, Iowa. This role involves providing care on med-surg units with telemetry monitoring, with a focus on post-operative surgical care, including procedures such as EGD, colonoscopy, cardiac catheterizations, and pacemaker management. The position requires confident ECG interpretation and experience with various drips and titrates. The assignment is scheduled for nights, starting on 09/08/2026.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 11.5 hours per shift, minimum of 34.5 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: 2 years of current Med Surg, Telemetry, or Med/Tele experience; active Iowa or multistate nursing license; AHA/ARC ACLS and BLS certifications; experience with Drips/Titrates (heparin, insulin, diuretic infusions, amiodarone, diltiazem, 3% saline infusion); must be comfortable reading EKG/ECG including rhythm strips and dysrhythmia interpretation; minimum 16 months of recent clinical experience required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior post-operative surgical care experience, including EGD, colonoscopy, cardiac cath, pacemaker management, and minor surgeries; recent travel assignment within past 12 months; professional reference from supervisor or nurse manager within last 24 months; drivers license.
• Float: Will float across medical-surgical units including post-operative units.
• Additional Information: Ancillary roles only no local RNs within a 50-mile radius; orientation begins 09/08/2026; candidates will be quickly interviewed via phone call or text from a 405 area code; completion of skills checklist specific to Med Surg or Telemetry required.
