Registered Nurse / Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular

Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) services in Illinois. The position involves providing advanced patient care in Medical Surgical, Cardiac Telemetry, Stroke Neuro, Step-Down Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and ICU units. Candidates must have extensive cardiac experience, ICU background, and be willing to float down to Medical Surgical when needed. Current licensure, CPR, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification are required.

Job Details:

• Location: 8201 E Riverside Blvd, Rockford, IL 61114
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid Illinois Nursing License, current CPR, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications; graduate of an accredited nursing program; at least 3 years of experience in ICU settings with extensive Cardiac experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Stroke Neuro, Step-Down ICU, and Medical Surgical units, willingness to float to Medical Surgical as needed.
• Additional Information: Utilizes nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members; administers prescribed medications and documents accordingly; develops individualized patient care plans; participates in performance improvement activities; escalates patient safety concerns appropriately.
