Registered Nurse / Operating Room Open Heart

Job Summary:
Operating Room Open Heart Technologist at a healthcare facility in Pittsburgh, PA. This position involves providing specialized cardiovascular surgical support within a busy operating room setting. The role requires certification, experience with cardiac robotics, LVAD, heart transplants, and a solid background in cardiovascular operating room procedures. The opportunity offers a rotating shift schedule with call responsibilities, suitable for professionals with recent cardiovascular operative experience.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 10 hours per night, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Candidates must hold certification with NCCT-TS-C or NBSTSA-CST. A minimum of 1 year in travel experience and 2 years within the last 3 years of cardiovascular operating room experience at a Level 1 Trauma center is required. Experience with cardiac robotics, LVAD, and heart transplants is strongly preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with general, orthopedic, neuro, vascular, trauma, and transplant cases, including robotics, is desirable.
• Additional Information: The position involves call responsibilities with a 30-minute response time, and in-house call rooms are available. Candidates should be able to scrub and demonstrate proficiency in cardiovascular OR procedures including cardiac robotics, LVAD, and transplant cases. Call and weekend work are required, with flexibility for weekday or weekend call.
