Job Summary:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position available in Dallas, Texas. This opportunity involves providing specialized care for neonatal patients within a busy and well-equipped unit. The role requires working day shifts with a schedule of 36 hours per week, supporting a dynamic team dedicated to high-quality neonatal care.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Day shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification, minimum 1 year of level III NICU experience, experience with preemies (at least 28 weeks gestation and above), management of central lines, respiratory management including intubated patients, experience caring for patients aged 2 years and older, handling surgical and cardiac patients, including care of trach infants and broviacs.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with procedures such as central line insertions, circumcisions, exploratory laps, gastroschisis reductions, PDA ligations.
- Additional Information: The unit is staffed with RNs, LVNs, PCTs, and Nurse Externs, equipped with nasal cannula, Bubble Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP), vents, oscillators, IV pumps, near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS), warmers, isolettes, and uses CPN and Meditech documentation systems. The unit emphasizes team collaboration, uses a floating policy letting contract staff float before regular staff, and covers areas including PICU, Pediatrics, and Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CICU). Candidates should be attuned to hospital policies and unit-specific procedures, which will be provided during onboarding.
