Registered Nurse / Intensive Care Unit

Job Summary:
The ICU (Intensive Care Unit) registered nurse position is located in Dallas, Texas, within a facility that provides critical care services. The role involves caring for critically ill patients with complex needs, including titrating drips, ventilator management, and other advanced procedures. The nurse will be responsible for delivering total patient care, working collaboratively within a highly specialized team during night shifts.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shift with 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification, valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, 1 year of ICU experience, applicable nursing license, and ability to work in Dallas, Texas.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy), transplant experience (Kidney, Pancreas, Liver), strong ICU background with titrating drips, and managing patients on ventilators and bipap.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information: The unit has 10 beds with a patient ratio of 2:1. Equipment used includes ventilators, CRRT machines, A-lines, Bipap, Flow-track, and IV pumps. Staff comprises primarily RNs and a charge nurse. The nurse will report at 6:45 AM or 6:45 PM, clock in/out for lunch, and provide comprehensive care for critically ill patients, including dressings, trach care, and turning. The assignment involves rotating weekends.
